I love these boots even though not crazy they are made in China so it's not American made I bought these in 2018 and still have them .the soles are worn on the bottom but all the stitching and everything are all still in tact .good boot

I was pleasantly surprised when I put this boot on. I’ve been in residential construction for over 25 years. My “go to” boot has always been Redwing but I tried these because I’m not going to pay over 300 bucks for boots anymore. So far I’m glad I did. I put a coat of mink oil on them as soon as I got them and they look great. They are actually more comfortable right out of the box than Redwings so hopefully the break in will be easier. The only thing I would change is the white piece on the sole and the white stitching.

Great pair of boots! Personally, I would suggest ordering a half size bigger than what you would normally wear as a tennis-shoe size. Ex. - 8.5(boot) instead of an 8(tennis-shoe). After about a week of wearing them I can wear them multiple days in a row w/out my feet hurting. Would recommend

I own many boots I have the Wolverine 1000 Mile boots , have a couple pairs of heritage boots from redwing that I’ve paid hundreds per pair and don’t get me wrong they are good boots and I use to believe they were worth the extreme price tags that’s until I had an impulse buy on these Golden Fox boondocker service boots !!!! I Bought these boots a while ago and now I feel I have had them long enough to give a fair review, first let me say they are true to size, I think people who tell you to buy a half size smaller just don’t know their correct boot size , I have been a size 11 in every single boot I’ve owned in my adult life and they have all fit basically the same, in boots of any kind your toes should never touch the end of your boot and overtime as your boot breaks in the top and front of the boot stretches and your feet will natural move forward and cause your toes to push toward the end of your boot so if you normally Wear an 11 and decide to get a 10.5 because you’ve been told to go half size smaller they may fit okay at first but a few months down the road you will start to see your toes being pushed into the toe of your boots and you will stop wearing them because it’s not comfortable and that’s not the boots fault it’s a sizing issue... now with that out of the way , these boots were great right out of the box , no break in needed they were extremely comfortable and I literally like them more than any of the other extremely expensive boots I’ve ever bought , I got them For work and immediately made them my casual dress / every day boot , I hope Golden Fox keeps making these because I will only buy these boots from here on out !!! If your looking for a heritage style boot that is comfortable and in my opinion superior to the big name expensive brands then get these boots you will not regret it I promise !!!!

I've been wearing these boots daily for a month and they were comfortable right out of the box, hardly any break in period and once they get broken in they look fantastic, not that they don't look good new, but these types of boots look better with use and age. I highly recommend these boots, a heritage boot for a fraction of the price of the competitors.

I bought a pair of these about a month back as I was looking for a pair work/rec boots. I was going to go with the Wolverine 1000 mile boots, but $400 is too steep in my opinion. I next had looked at a pair of Chippewas but they are unable to ship to California thanks to a recent law. Thanks Governor Moonbeam. Anyways, I was suggested I look into Golden Fox. I found out they are a So Cal family run business so I decided to look at their products as I am for buying American made and enjoy the fact of supporting a small family business.

I went with the Boondocks and love them. I am a former U.S. Marine and retired Ca. LEO. I always took pride in my boots These are great. I have a super wide foot so I normally have to go up a half size to accommodate. I did this with the Boondocks but really didn't need to. Although they are a little big, they don't rub my heal or the balls of my feet when I wear them.

I'm extremely pleased with purchase and if the case should arise where I am unable to resole these at a local cobbler, I will simply purchase another pair.
