The Boondocker Legacy. During World War II, the soldiers needed a boot that was durable and comfortable to march the terrain during war. They wore trench boots which were given the nickname "boondockers." The boondocker style shoe became the official working shoe of the U.S. Armed Forces during World War II.

We've added this new Brown color to our boondocker line. Given the appearance of a fascinating boot, how it is constructed is more than you would expect from a mid-century style shoe. The boot starts off with a pig skin collar which gives the boot a luxurious look compared to other unlined boots. Your foot will rest upon our most comfortable arch supporting insole and a steel shank, giving extra support through the middle of the boot. The outside of the boot features a crepe outsole that is oil- and slip-resistant. Around the boot is our famous Goodyear Welt Construction that ensures your boot to last twice as long. Durability, comfort, protection, and style are what you can expect from our Golden Fox 6" Boondocker.

Crazy Horse

Crazy Horse Leather

Crazy horse leather is not actually from horses. It was given the name because of its popular use for horse saddles. The leather is a full grain aniline hide that is prone to being marked up, giving it a distressed antique look that enhances with wear. Due to the nature of this leather, the oils used to treat it allow for the boot to pick up a more rugged appearance compared to other hides.
